The story behind ukskilledworker.com. Built by a 2022 MSc graduate and a content strategist to help international professionals find verified UK visa sponsorship.
In 2021, one of us moved to the UK as an MSc student with a dream and many questions. Like thousands of international students every year, the "ticking clock" of the student visa felt like a constant weight. The anxiety was through the roof, and the questions in our minds about how to break through became an anthem. A lot was on the line.
The official rules were everywhere, but the practical "how-to" was missing. We were told it was almost impossible to find sponsorship before graduating. We proved that wrong! Four months before graduation, my partner secured a Skilled Worker role in 2022, and our journey toward ILR began.
We realised that the barrier to Skilled Worker roles isn't a lack of talent, it’s a lack of clear information and a dedicated space for sponsored opportunities.
We created ukskilledworker.com to be the platform we wish we had back then. We are a team of two: a Software Developer who builds the technical tools to navigate the UK job market and a Content Strategist who researches the latest rules to turn confusing updates into clear, actionable tips.
We’ve lived through the BRP-to-eVisa transition, the rising salary thresholds, and the anxiety of visa extensions. We don't just list jobs; we share the lived experience of what it actually takes to build a career in the UK as an international professional.
We are not immigration lawyers. We are a family of immigrants who have navigated the system successfully for over three years. Everything you find on this site is born from real research and real-life experience.
Your journey is our journey. Let's get you sponsored.
